Biostimulants are valuable tools not only in conventional agriculture but also in the cultivation of high-value medicinal plants, offering a sustainable and effective way to enhance and standardize their therapeutic properties. This represents a promising advance for the pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, and wellness industries.
We have developed a novel biostimulant, derived from plant extracts, specifically designed to enhance the medicinal properties of Cannabis sativa. Our research-driven approach involved rigorous screening of raw materials and in-depth analysis of their biological effects on the plant. When applied, this biostimulant led to remarkable results including increased plant biomass and bud yield, a significant rise in trichome density, and elevated levels of key cannabinoids. Interestingly, in high-CBD-content varieties, it enhanced CBD and CBG levels without affecting THC, while in high-THC-content varieties, it boosted THC levels without altering CBD content.
These findings demonstrate the potential of biostimulants, not only to maximize yield, but also to improve the consistency and concentration of specific therapeutic compounds in medicinal plants like cannabis. This innovation represents a forward-looking step toward more effective, standardized, and sustainable plantbased therapeutics.
